Artist's Comments

A cotton coutil corset with steel boning, plus a black cotton chemise with white cotton lace and black satin ribbon.

My first attempt with real corsetry, but not a bad one, I think.

The pattern is period, gotten from a friend with a book. The chemise is patterned by myself.

aa, where do you find the time to do the clothes too, aren't you, like a super busy art student these days?-) Anway, good work. making clothes is kind of a magic to me, just can't get me head around them patterns :P

Thanks! Took me a while to find out the book :) It's Norah Waugh's Corsets and Crinolines. It has loads of period patterns and pictures, I'm making a 1750's corset from it next :heart:
